Our partnership with the Government of Rwanda is both strong and strategic. Led by the Hon. Minister of ICT, Paula Ingabire, who has pledged full support for ABF. She has appointed her Executive Assistant, Rhoma, to our local organizing committee which reflects Kigali’s deep commitment to innovation and Africa’s digital future.
A Hub for AI and Blockchain
Kigali is also emerging as a key AI hub. It is bolstered by the Gates Foundation’s support. The foundation has pledged $7.5M to support an AI hub in Kigali. This provides an attractive and secure destination for international attendees. We will leverage this environment to create a space where global capital meets African innovation. We will create a space where ideas become tangible solutions.
Our event will be a platform for showcasing Rwanda’s digital policy leadership and showcase its commitment to a digital-first economy. Dedicated sessions will explore key national priorities like digital identity, land registry systems, and financial inclusion. Global experts will not only contribute insights but also collaborate on shaping Rwanda’s next chapter.
We’re also proud to work closely with key local institutions including the Rwanda Blockchain Association, the ICT Chamber of Commerce, and Carnegie Mellon University Africa. These partnerships will help us leave a meaningful, lasting legacy for Rwanda and the continent.
